What SaveAds cannot do

No cost per acquisition is computed on this source: there is no spend to divide, and a CPA invented on organic search would be a false figure.

One property — a site or a domain — and its organic queries. No cost notion: SaveAds marks it as a non-paid source.

Integrations

Google Search Console integration

This is the only non-paid source in the registry, and the difference matters more than it looks: any metric dividing by spend is meaningless here.

What does the SaveAds Google Search Console integration do?

The Google Search Console integration reads a property — a site as `https://example.com/` or a domain as `sc-domain:example.com` — and returns its organic queries, clicks and impressions. The scope requested is read-only. SaveAds marks it explicitly as a non-paid source, so that no cost per acquisition is computed on it.

An “account” here is a property

Unlike ad platforms, the identifier is not an account number but the Search Console property address: `https://example.com/` or `sc-domain:example.com`. That is what the API expects, and what you recognise in your own Search Console interface.

Why the paid / organic distinction matters

A source silently returning zero cost would suggest nothing was spent, and therefore infinite return. SaveAds marks Search Console as non-paid, and everything downstream knows it: cost per acquisition, wasted budget and achievable savings make no sense on organic search.

What organic teaches about paid

A query already bringing you organic traffic for free may not need buying. Conversely, a commercial query where you do not appear naturally justifies a budget. Putting the two side by side is the only way to have that conversation with figures.

Out of scope

  • Read-only: SaveAds writes nothing to Search Console, and there would be nothing to write anyway.
  • No associated cost: profitability metrics do not apply.
  • No average-position data beyond what the API exposes.
  • The property must already be verified in Search Console.

Frequently asked questions

Must my site already be verified in Search Console?

Yes. SaveAds reads an existing property; it does not perform property verification for you.

Does Search Console use up a connected account?

Yes, every connected source counts towards your plan’s connected-account limit.

Can organic and paid be compared on the same query?

Both are readable side by side, but SaveAds does not merge them into a single metric: they do not measure the same thing.
